Key Takeaways
  • As we speak, the residents of North and South Carolina continue to endure punishing winds and torrential rain, hour after hour.
  • For just $1,500 per home, NECHAMA can help those with the greatest need and provide assistance that would cost these economically disadvantaged families 10-15 times more - an amount of money they do not have access too even in the best of circumstances.

As we speak, the residents of North and South Carolina continue to endure punishing winds and torrential rain, hour after hour. Hurricane Florence is a storm like we have never seen. Rivers and storm surge have filled homes. More than 200 people have been rescued. Hundreds of thousands are without power and there are still hours - if not days - to go.

As we did with Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Matthew, Harvey, Irma, and Maria - NECHAMA is responding to the needs of those impacted by Hurricane Florence. We are preparing to engage our volunteers in Tikkun Olam - bringing hope, comfort, and critical assistance to vulnerable and at-risk families including elderly households, those with small children, and disabled individuals.

For just $1,500 per home, NECHAMA can help those with the greatest need and provide assistance that would cost these economically disadvantaged families 10-15 times more - an amount of money they do not have access too even in the best of circumstances.

Your support provides hope and comfort to people impacted by Hurricane Florence as we speak. NECHAMA has set a goal of $175,000 for our first three months of Hurricane Florence Response. This will allow us to help hundreds of families in need. We need your support to make this happen. Please, donate today!
