The NECHAMA community is sad to announce the passing of a long-term volunteer and friend Irv Walanka.

Irv was dedicated to the service of others and spent much of his free time alongside us responding to natural disasters. He truly inspired each person that had the honor of volunteering alongside him. We not only cherished his service but the friendship that grew out of many years together. His smile and sense of humor could light up a room. We will not forget the legacy he left behind and will do our best to honor his memory in our service.
