Our NECHAMA Operations Team arrived in Lafayette, Louisiana, during the early evening hours of Tuesday, September 1. Once they checked into the church's facility, housing our team and families displaced by Laura, they were befriended by a single mother, staying there with her children. She graciously made dinner for Dorothy and Mariana, in appreciation of our arrival to help.

The team spent the day assessing the damage in Alexandria and meeting with a local Rabbi. Tomorrow, the team heads to Lake Charles, the epicenter of the hurricane's worst damage.

Your donations fuel our ability to provide services to families affected by natural disasters, like Hurricane Laura.
