Today is the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. As we remember the power that Katrina brought to the gulf coast, we keep our eyes on Hurricane Ida. Ida is expected to make landfall in the upcoming hours. The storm is predicted to make landfall as a category 4 storm, equalling Katrina in intensity.

Our thoughts go out to the friends and families we have met in our work along the gulf coast throughout the years. We are monitoring the storm and are in communication with local emergency response teams on the ground as the storm progresses. Please check back in the upcoming days for updates as we learn more.
