This afternoon Governor Andrew Cuomo joined NECHAMA teams on the ground, alongside CUNY and SUNY students, and gained a first-hand experience of our current efforts.
Governor Cuomo stated, “We are entering a new phase now, which is not just an emergency response but more an assistance in a rebuild effort. Part of that, are CUNY and SUNY students who are going to spend their summer vacation rebuilding homes in Puerto Rico. These are special young people. Today is one of the days that I am truly proud to be the governor of New York.”
