NECHAMA: Jewish Response to Disaster is a leading national organization dedicated to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Rooted in the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Bal Tashchit (do not destroy), NECHAMA brings trained volunteers and staff to communities impacted by natural disasters across the United States. Since its founding, NECHAMA has mobilized thousands of volunteers to help families rebuild after hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and other disasters.
