In the span of 24 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, two separate mass casualty events occurred at schools in South Minneapolis. Wednesday saw a shooting at the Annunciation Catholic School that left two children (aged 8 and 10) dead and 17 others (including 14 children) injured. That followed Tuesday's shooting immediately adjacent to the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School that left one dead and six injured. These violent acts hit close to home because NECHAMA was founded in the Twin Cities, continues to be headquartered there, and will always have deep roots in the community.

We at NECHAMA send our deepest thoughts and prayers to our neighbors - students, families, teachers, staff and the entire community - impacted by these terrible events.
