Hurricane Harvey - Houston Response

Hurricane Harvey delivered catastrophic rain to Houston and large portions of Texas, with rainfall totals exceeding 40 inches. NECHAMA deployed a full-scale response, assisting 132 homes in the Morningside and Addicks neighborhoods. The team met families like Vlasta, whose husband's memorabilia collection was destroyed, and worked alongside volunteers from across the country. This was part of an unprecedented year in which NECHAMA responded to two simultaneous Category 4 hurricanes.
