Central Michigan Flooding Assessment

On May 21, 2020, heavy rain led to two dam failures in Central Michigan, displacing thousands from their homes. After careful consideration of COVID-19 restrictions, NECHAMA sent an assessment team to Midland County. Working with local partners, the team mucked and gutted the home of an elderly couple whose basement and first floor were severely damaged. Twenty volunteers assisted in the effort.
