NECHAMA is currently deploying to Waverly, Iowa, which is approximately 1 hour past Mason City or approximately 3.5 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul. You can volunteer for any time frame depending on your schedule. We are mucking out houses, which means we are removing mud, carpeting and any debris from homes. Once the home is cleaned, we are power washing and disinfecting it for the home owner. We provide all the safety and work equipment.
INFORMATION:
*You provide your own transportation.
*Meals are provided at certain locations, yet you may need to provide your own.
*We do have housing for our volunteers with shower facilities.
WHAT TO BRING:
*Work clothing that will become very dirty(long pants)
*Work boots or very sturdy shoes
*Sleeping items(sleeping bag, pillow ect.)
*Toiletries
*Lots of smiles and humor!
