Mankato, MN - Nechama has been working in the Mankato area of Blue Earth County since the tornados went through the night of July 14. Ken Streiff, Deployment Manager, teamed up with local volunteers and other disaster relief agencies to begin the cleanup job of scattered buildings and snapped trees. Randy Walker, Blue Earth County Emergency Manager contacted Nechama to praise Ken's work, and thank the organization for the large amounts of equipment and leadership assistance made available to the many local volunteers. He said, "Your group (Nechama) has been working right from the first day. Ken Streiff is unbelievable in how much work he is getting accomplished for the farmers and their cleanup. That guy has really been fantastic for us." Nechama was also responsible for bringing in veterinary assistance for livestock injured in the storm.
