Buffalo Lake, MN - Volunteers from Temple Israel Men's Club led the cleanup effort of dead trees and branches that littered two farms outside Buffalo Lake. Nechama spent multiple days helping the families immediately after the storms in 2003, and now returned to finish the job. Daniel Leske, one of the farm owners talked with the volunteers after the cleanup saying, "The Lord has been good to us, and sent us you folks to help with a job we could not have done on our own". After a half day working at Leske Farm, the volunteers headed to Betty Runge's farm. Betty is an elderly lady living on her own and trying to maintain her property. In her situation, there was no way she could clear out the amount of trees and dead branches that Nechama took care of. She said, "Parts of my yard have been covered with fallen trees for a year. Now I can mow my grass again."
Nechama volunteers saw through and drag off fallen trees from the 2003 buffalo Lake Tornado.
