Farewell to Salvation Army Leader Bill Feist
Fort Snelling, MN - About 35 people gathered at Fort Snelling Officer's Club to bid farewell to Bill Feist, Diector Northern Division Disaster Services for The Salvation Army. Bill is being reassigned to a post in Jackson, Mississippi. The departure is significant for Minnesota's disaster community as Bill has been a strong supporter of Minnesota VOAD (Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster) and Nechama in particular. He was responsible for signing a Memorandum of Understanding agreement of joint cooperation between Nechama and the Army. During disasters, bill as been an important component in gathering damage reports and helping direct Nechama cleanup efforts. Additionally, Bill served as MNVOAD vice president where he was a strong advocate for Nechama activities. He will be missed by the Nechama team, its leaders and the entire Minnesota natural disaster community. Good luck and Mazel Tov to Bill!!
