Webster, WI - About 20 campers from Herzl Camp took part in a Nechama demonstration to familiarize themselves with the organization and its mission. The enthusiastic group talked about aspects of Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) and had a chance to tryout some Nechama equipment. Nechama Director, Michael Morris reviewed the origins of Jewish concern for one's neighbor and coming to the assistance of the stranger. Perry Witkin worked with some in the group on doing a chain saw cut and getting the feel of a pressure washer. Nechama regularly goes to Herzl Camp in an effort to interest young volunteers and future leaders of Tikkun Olam and community service.
Perry Witkin, Nechama President works with the Herzl Campers on using disaster cleanup equipment.
